Changelog

A running log of what ships each month. Bundled by theme, not per commit.

October 2026 — v2026.10

  • Statistics. See who opened a link, where they came from, how long they stayed and which photographs they looked at — for galleries, downloads, Albums and drop links alike.
  • Sort a gallery by filename, capture time or your own order, and rearrange photographs by dragging one or a whole selection.
  • Replace a photograph without losing a thing: its place, its link, and every rating and comment your client left stay where they were. Re-export a batch and Skerp matches the files by name.
  • Drop links carry your branding and a link you can read aloud. Guests see their own uploads and nobody else's.
  • Studio review lives on the gallery itself. A photographer submits, an admin approves or sends it back with notes, and the notes stay on the gallery until the next submission.
  • Studio Contributors work in the galleries assigned to them with the same tools as a studio photographer, and see nothing beyond them.
  • Decide which emails reach you for a single gallery, a project or the whole studio.
  • Skerper 2.5 for Lightroom. When a password changes or a token is revoked, one click signs you back in.
  • Security and reliability work across the platform: stricter limits on public pages, one quota check for every upload channel, and download links that stay valid for as long as the gallery offers them.

September 2026 — v2026.9

  • Albums are finished. Download one as a PDF book — a page per spread, ready to print or to send on — and offer it to your client from the Album itself.
  • Play an Album full-screen as a slideshow, loop it for a screen in the studio, or put it on your own website.
  • See how far people actually got: how many opened the Album, how many reached the end, how long they stayed, and on what.
  • Start from a look — Wedding editorial, Fine-art book, Family album or Portfolio — and Skerp sets the pacing and typography to match before you change a thing.

August 2026 — v2026.8

  • Albums arrange themselves properly. Skerp reads the time each photograph was taken and splits the day into chapters, then paces the layout the way you ask — quiet, editorial, or rich. Do not like this version? Shuffle for another.
  • Freeform spreads — start from a composed page and move photographs and text cards around it by hand.
  • A story image for every Album, sized for Instagram and WhatsApp, alongside the link card.
  • Anything you edit by hand stays put when Skerp rearranges the rest.

July 2026 — v2026.7

  • A calmer Album editor — a clearer way to add pages and photographs, every theme previewed in your own work, and design changes that save as you make them.
  • Album covers, section breaks and text pages got real styles, typefaces and colour palettes to choose between.
  • Promo signup links for campaigns and partners, and a tidier gallery password panel.

June 2026 — v2026.6

  • Albums — a presentation gallery for finished work. Skerp lays your photographs out like a magazine, and a guided setup gets you from a folder to something worth sending in a few minutes.
  • Social previews for every gallery — share a link on WhatsApp, iMessage or social and it arrives with a card made from the photographs inside.
  • See when a proofing gallery is opened and when files are downloaded, in its activity log.
  • Preview any Skerp email exactly as your client will receive it, from your settings.

May 2026 — v2026.5

  • Better trial guidance — clearer timing on reminders, with feature highlights mid-trial.
  • Custom social previews — every public page now has its own image when the link is shared on social or chat.

Launch — April 2026

  • Skerp is live. v2026.4 is the first public release — photographers can sign up at skerp.io with a 14-day Pro trial, no card upfront.
  • Every capability built through February, March, and April is part of the launch cut: the full proofing workflow, real-time sync, Studio tier, Skerper for Lightroom, proof marks, and comment attachments.

April 2026

  • Watermark customisation — three configurable watermark slots per gallery, with account-level defaults, per-gallery overrides, and full size, colour, shadow and font controls.
  • Comment attachments — clients can attach references, images, or PDFs (up to 50 MB) directly to any comment, with per-gallery storage caps.
  • Faster, calmer galleries — thumbnails crossfade on load, fewer layout shifts, better behaviour on shaky connections.

March 2026

  • Skerper for Lightroom Classic — two-way bridge between Skerp and Lightroom: client decisions land on pick flags, colour labels, keywords, or stars; comments flow both ways; uploads go straight to storage.
  • Studio tier — team roles (Owner, Member, Photographer), internal review workflow, shared branding, projects, and studio-exclusive drop links for receiving files from clients.
  • Billing — Free, Standard, and Pro plans with a 14-day trial, no card upfront.
  • Delivery galleries — a separate branded delivery surface for sending the final files, distinct from the proofing flow.

February 2026

  • The dashboard and the client gallery — photographer dashboard for managing collections, and a no-account-required gallery clients open from a single link.
  • Pin-and-comment review — numbered pins on the image, threaded comments in the sidebar, ratings, side-by-side compare with synced zoom, undo/redo.
  • Real-time sync, offline mode, dark-first design — selections and comments propagate live across viewers; galleries work without a connection; light and dark themes throughout.
  • Keyboard triage — arrow keys, space, number keys for ratings. Review hundreds of images in minutes.

Skerp's foundations were laid in February 2026; everything before that is scaffolding, not customer-facing.
